Getting Ready for Baby

I have finally started getting ready for my new baby...SLOWLY. This will be my 3rd baby which is due in the very beginning of September {ugh...feels so far away}. I have been counting down the weeks until I can be un-pregnant again. I know there are some mom's out there who absolutely love being pregnant and relish every moment of it...but not me.

And to make things even crazier, my other two children are 7 and 9, and I have no baby stuff left. Yesterday though, I made a pair of booties and a hat to take to the hospital. This was my first attempt at booties so I hope they will fit him. I found the pattern from Repeat Crafter Me.

2 Ingredient Fudge

I just have to share this recipe I found on Pinterest for peanut butter fudge.  It is so easy and delicious!

All you need is a container of vanilla icing and a container of peanut butter.  That's it.

Then you add them both to a microwavable bowl, but don't mix them yet.  Microwave it for 1 minute and mix completely until smooth.

Spread into a 9x9 or 8x8 pan that is lined with foil and then cool in the refigerator until firm.  Once it is firm, simply remove using the foil and cut into squares.  Mmmm!!  So yummy!

May Flowers

I love having indoor plants.  However, I am a notorious plant killer.  It's true.  I can't seem to keep plants alive.  I have even tried those funny water globe things you fill with water and poke into the dirt.  But while at the garden center last week I found this awesome pot to give a try.

I let my husband plant my flowers in the pot since he has more of a green thumb than me.

Here is the cool part about the pot. It is like 2 pots in one.  There is a smaller pot that you plant the flowers in and a bigger pot that you put water in.  Then you simply put the smaller pot into the larger one.  The water then absorbes into the smaller pot.  The idea is that I won't have to worry so much about watering them which seems to be my biggest issue.  I sure hope this works!

New Fabrics For Spring

Spring is by far my favorite season. The flowers start blooming, babies are everywhere, and the world seems fresh and new again. And unlike summer, the temperature is perfect. Not too hot and not too cold.

It also means fun new colors and prints.

I have been busy working on new wristlets...

Mini Wallets...

and Badge Holders. I can't wait to find more and more amazing fabrics to work with.

Shop Picture Day

I saw my daughter walking around with her baby doll dressed up in one of the hats I knit and I was suddenly inspired to redo some of my pictures.  The last time that I tried using one of her babies, the pictures did not turn out very good and all her dolls were pretty beat up.  But now that she is older Grandma has gotten her some nice Middleton dolls that she hasn't been able to beat up yet.

I am constantly trying to find ways to get better pictures for my shop.  Since my items are mainly sold online... having good pictures is extremely important.  I like the way they are turnning out so far.  Especially the one of my Emma modeling the Beanie.  She is the best little model :)

Tisket..Tasket...Maggie Got Some Baskets

I had gotten some baskets from someone at work before I moved, not knowing exactly what I was going to use them for.  I knew they would come in handy though.

Well, they have served many purposes throughout these two weeks while I attempt to get things organized and under control but I think I have finally found permanent homes for a couple of them.

I have been trying to come up with some way to get more storage in my bathroom so I hung these little guys up on the extra towel bar with some ribbon I had.

These two I labeled "Emma's Stuff" and "Evan's Stuff" {you know I really wanted to label them junk instead of stuff but I was being nice, lol}.  I placed them next to the hallway enterance to their bedrooms.  Now I have a place close by to toss their "stuff" that accumulates all day and drives me nuts.

Oh yeah...I got these ideas from Pinterest!
